Once you have named frames, you can make links in the navigation frame control the content frame.
1 | Select the text Home Page in the frame on the left. |
2 | In the Property inspector, click the folder to the right of the Link box and choose the file Homepage.htm.
![]() |
Choosing the link file identifies what file should be opened by the link. Now you need to specify where the file should be opened.
3 | Click the expander arrow in the lower right corner of the Property inspector to display additional properties. |
4 | Click the Target pop-up menu and choose Content.
![]() |
Choosing this target instructs Dreamweaver to open the document Homepage.htm in the target frame named Content.
Now you repeat these steps for the next link.
5 | Select the text Order Form. |
6 | In the Property inspector, click the folder to the right of the Link box and choose the file Orderform.htm. |
7 | Click the Target pop-up menu and choose Content again. |
8 | Choose File > Save All to save all open documents and framesets. |
In some cases browsers do not preview your work correctly unless it has been saved.
